Passing the Clean Energy Torch

My sincere thanks to everyone who attended our Clean Energy 2015 event on February 25th. A packed house – more than 160 clean energy supporters - turned out to say goodbye to our departing staff and hello to the new CEP.

We sent our departing staff members off in style and with well-earned accolades! Lydia Ball, our former executive director, and Mike Litt, Field Director both received recognition by representatives of U.S. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid and U.S. Representative Dina Titus.

As we turned and looked to the future, I spoke about my vision for building the next story onto CEP’s already solid foundation, and about what 2015 holds for CEP and Nevada’s clean energy industry.

CEP’s effective outreach and organizing has strengthened the voice of Nevadans and Nevada businesses in the development of our clean energy policies.  My immediate priorities include continuing CEP’s growth by building our list of supporters, and reaching out to diverse Nevada communities and businesses that may not have seen all the benefits of Nevada’s clean energy economy. I look forward to realizing this priority, and to many other clean energy accomplishments as we move forward together.

It was wonderful to meet so many of CEP’s supporters, volunteers and partners, and I look forward to talking more with you over the months and years to come.

Many thanks, again, to our Event Hosts: Cooperate on Main, DiG Design Group, Rachel's Kitchen at The OgdenSolar Institute of Nevada, and Sol-Up.
