Clean Energy Project Applauds Fallon Segment of Nevada’s Electric Highway Completion

LAS VEGAS (Nov. 7, 2016) – Clean Energy Project’s executive director Jennifer Taylor released the following statement supporting Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, NV Energy and the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe for the second leg completion of the Silver State’s electric highway project.

“CEP congratulates Governor Sandoval, the Governor’s Office of Energy, NV Energy (NVE) and the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe on completing the second leg of Nevada’s electric highway.  This public-private partnership demonstrates how Nevada can continue to lead in the innovative development of the clean energy sector.

CEP is very appreciative of NVE’s long-standing support of this industry and its innovation in moving the electric vehicle market, in particular, and this important initiative forward.  We also appreciate NV Energy’s commitment to this market’s creation, developing the infrastructure and ensuring the components are completed correctly. Expanding the Governor’s forward-thinking vision throughout Nevada will grow travel and tourism opportunities while helping to reduce our dependence on carbon intensive segments of our transportation sector.”
