Conversation on July 21 to Focus on MGM Resorts International’s Clean Energy Decisions and Announce New Business Panelists at Seventh Annual National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas
Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) and Chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International Jim Murren will host a news teleconference to preview the upcoming “National Clean Energy Summit 7.0: Partnership & Progress” and announce a panel entitled “Stepping to the Plate on Climate Change: Business Leadership on Pollution Reduction” and several participating panelists. The discussion will focus on the importance of addressing climate change to ensure a strong economy as well as clean energy decisions and projects at MGM Resorts International.
In its seventh year, the annual conference will be held on Thursday, September 4, at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Co-sponsored by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), Center for American Progress , the Clean Energy Project, MGM Resorts International and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, “National Clean Energy Summit 7.0: Partnership & Progress” will be focused on the benefits of public-private partnerships to deploy clean energy, invest in innovation and build the infrastructure needed to modernize our nation's electric grid.
The summit attracts clean energy visionaries and leaders, public officials, business executives, energy policy experts, entrepreneurs, investors, citizens and students to discuss empowering the public with the tools to promote clean energy, strengthen our energy independence and create jobs.
