At NV Energy, the Power of Good is Always On. This means the company is committed to operating its business in a way that benefits its customers, its community, the environment and the state of Nevada. NV Energy continues to transform its fuel mix from coal-fueled generation to renewable energy and cleaner-burning natural gas generating resources. NV Energy retired three of the four coal-fueled generating units at its Reid Gardner Generating Station at the end of 2014, and in March of 2017, retired the final unit. The company will also exit its participation in Arizona’s Navajo Generating Station by the end of 2019, marking the end of its coal generation in southern Nevada.

NV Energy maintains one of the most reliable energy systems in the nation, and has been recognized for offering innovative technologies and programs that enable customers to better manage their own energy use. NV Energy is helping meet its customers’ energy needs with 45 renewable energy projects throughout Nevada. In total, more than 1,400 megawatts of renewable energy have been built or secured to serve NV Energy customers. And more renewables are on the way.
