Energy Choice: Nevada's Obstacles & Opportunities

Last Thursday, Clean Energy Project assembled a panel of national experts and energy policy professionals to weigh the opportunities and challenges presented by Question 3, the Energy Choice ballot initiative. 

This measure seeks to amend Nevada's constitution by adding language that would de-monopolize NV Energy, restructure the state's energy market, and open it to competition. 

Ahead of the statewide vote on Question 3, Nevadans for Affordable Clean Energy Choices teamed up with Clean Energy Project to release a set of principles to advance the state's clean energy economy. To read the principles, click here

Nevada Clean Energy Champion and owner of the nation's largest rooftop solar array, MGM Resorts International is breaking with other large casino companies and encouraging support for Assembly Bill 206. The bill would raise the amount of electricity Nevada generates from renewable sources to 50% by 2030.
